Abstract:
Data set contains the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) Gulf of Mexico Region (GOMR) Offshore Inspection District Boundaries.The District boundaries are not clipped to the OCS Planning Area boundaries, therefore, the features extend beyond the OCS Planning Area.Official Protraction Diagrams and other cadastre information the BOEM produces are generated in accordance with 30 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 550.4 Subpart D, (formerly Part 556.8 Subpart A (2015)) to support Federal land ownership and mineral resource management. The Official Protraction Diagrams (OPDs) and Supplemental Official Block Diagrams (SOBDs) serve as the legal definition for BOEM offshore boundary coordinates and area descriptions.
Purpose:
This feature class represents the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) Gulf of Mexico Region (GOMR) Offshore Inspection District Boundaries. The polygons are not clipped to the OCS Planning Area boundaries and, therefore, extend into state waters.
